One hacked dead in city

A man was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants at Dhaka Udyan in the city’s Mohammadpur area last night. The deceased was identified as Sohel, 35, who was also a businessman, said police. Police said a group of miscreants swooped on Sohel in front of ‘Four Brothers Garmen’t in Dhaka Udyan Residential area when he was returning to his residence at around 10pm. The attackers hacked him indiscriminately, leaving him injured.
He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at around 11:15pm, assistant deputy Inspector of DMCH Police Post Sentu Chandra Das said.
