KUSHTIA: Professor Makluqur Rhaman of Public Administration department at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia died at a hospital in the capital on Thursday morning.
He was 64. He left behind son, daughter and host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death. Earlier, he served as the IUTA president, provost, dean and chairman.
IU Vice-chancellor Prof Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, IU Pro-vice chancellor Prof M Shahinoor Rhaman, Treasurer Prof M Selim Toha, IUTA President and Secretary, expressed deep shock at the demise of Makluqur Rhaman, said sources at IU press release.
They also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul of the deceased.
