Pro-AL teachers win SUST senate, academic polls

SYLHET: The ruling Awami League-backed panel swept the senate and academic council elections of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) on Thursday, reports UNB.

Ruling party-backed teachers Dr Jahir Bin Alam and Dr Mostabur Rahman won the election in category-1 and category-2 in senate.

Apart from, pro-Awami Leage teachers -- M Anwar Hossain of Sociology Department, Dr Asif Iqbal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Department, M Saiful Islam of Computer Science and Engineering Department and Suprata Das of Architecture Department -- won the all four posts of academic council.
