CHITTAGONG: Chittagong district police in a series of special drives detained 84 people, including three activists of Chhatra Shibir, during overnight drives in different upazilas of Chittagong on Saturday night, reports BSS. The law enforcers also seized 106 litres of liquor and 100-grams of hemp during the night-long drives. In addition to upazila police, nearly 210 additional policemen participated in the drives that were conducted in different parts of the district including in the upazilas of Satkania, Lohagara, Sitakunda, Boalkhali and Chandanaish. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of district special branch Naimul Islam said the arrestees were accused in different sabotage cases.
