BU teachers observe work bstention

Staff Reporter, Barisaleachers of Barisal University observed a three hours work abstention from 10am to 1pm on the campus yesterday protesting the proposed 8th national pay scale and demanding a separate one for them..
 As per the programme of the Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers' Association (FBUTA), teachers of different departments attended the programme at around 10am. The speakers here threatened to go on indefinite strike if their demands are not met.
The classes of all departments remained closed but the exam and viva was the purview of their programme.
President of Barisal University Teacher Association Prof Md Arif Hosen presided the programme that was addressed, among others by, Prof Safiul Alam, Prof  Tasnuva Habib,  Prof Tarek Mahbub Abir.
