Replying to a query about the date of launching, the state minister said: “We will reveal it after getting final confirmation from the SpaceX.”
She said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would cut the ribbon of launching of the satellite from capital’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC). Centering the event, the BICC auditorium will be decorated in the shape of SpaceX.
Posts and telecommunications division (PTD) as part of the programme will set up billboard, giant screen and countdown board in upazila level, divisional cities and also in capital Dhaka to inform the people about the final moment.

She said they have planned to run programme in both day and night in accordance with the timing of Florida. “All the people across the country will release balloons in day while fireworks show will be demonstrated at night.”
Besides, the PTD will open an event page on facebook and special cell with specific numbers. “We will post segmented videos of different stages of satellite on the facebook page while the special cell will reply the queries of technical aspects of satellite,” said Tarana.
In addition, she said: “We will also develop an opportunity for the people so they can express their opinion and reactions live on the auspicious day.”
But, all the screens and digital boards will be turned into black to recall the brutality of the black night (March 25) by the Pakistani occupational forces, added the state minister.
