Two people were electrocuted in separate incidents at Shashla-Piala and Chandipur villages in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Saturday evening.
The deceased are Mazharul, 40, of Thakurgaon town and an electrician of Palli Bidduyt Samity and Ful Babu, 43, a farmer of Chandipur village.
Police sources said Mazharul came in contact with live wire when he was repairing an 11KV line at Shashla-Piala village at 6pm on Saturday evening and died instantly.
Later, Fire Brigade people recovered his body. In another incident, farmer Ful Babu was electrocuted when he touched the wall of his tin house that was electrified by a falling live electric wire during heavy rain.
