Cox’s Bazar: The authorities concerned suspended a tourist police officer yesterday on charge of harassing a couple at the Cox’s Bazar sea beach in the district, reports UNB.
Assistant Sub Inspector Md Masud was closed after Md Quayed-e-Azam, local program officer of UNICEF filed a written complaint against him to the district administration on Monday.
Azam, the victim alleged that, when he was sitting at the Laboni Sea Beach Point with his wife on Sunday, Md Masud along with two other policemen asked him and his wife to show their marriage deed after inquiring that whether or not they are husband and wife.
