Nepali dental student ‘kills self’ in capital

A Nepali student of a dental college allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at the college hostel in the city’s Vatara area on Tuesday, reports UNB. Police recovered the hanging body of Binisha Shah, a third-year student of Pioneer Dental College, from the hostel in the afternoon.

Quamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Vatara Police Station, said Binisha came out of the examination hall half an hour before the end of the scheduled time of the term-2 examination after submitting her answer sheet.

Later, she went to the hostel and hanged herself from the ceiling of her room, he said, adding that they recovered the body around 1:45pm.
