Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid urged Japanese investors to invest more in Bangladesh’s power and energy sector, reports BSS.
“Some five projects of the energy and mineral resources division and 11 projects in power sector are under implementation funded by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency),” he told to Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Hiryasu Izumi who paid a courtesy call on him at his ministry in the capital yesterday.
Nasrul sought Japan’s help in completing those projects in time and urged more investment in the development of the power and energy sector.
Officials said they discussed various issues related to mutual interests in the meeting.
