BCB seeks PCB�s nod to send security team

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yesterday sent a letter to its Pakistan counterpart in a bid to get the nod of sending the security teams for the much-talked women’s cricket team’s tour there.
“We’ve sent a letter to Pakistan Cricket Board regarding our security team’s visit. We can send them after getting the response from Pakistan,” said Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, the CEO of the BCB.
After getting the nod from PCB, Bangladesh will send a four-member security team to Pakistan for inspecting the security situation of the country for the proposed women’s cricket team’s tour.
The four-member contingent has been formed by three security officers from different government intelligence agencies alongside BCB chief security officer Major Hossain Imam.   
With a directorate general of forces intelligence official, a national security intelligence officer and an additional deputy inspector general of police amongst the government side will be included in the team.
The BCB has recently got the nod from the government to send a security team in Pakistan to asses the recent condition.
Both boards have been in talk with the tour in a bid to revive the international cricket in Pakistan.
 “They want to arrange the matches in Karachi. But we told them to organise in Lahore. Our security team will visit both places of the country during their inspection,” Nizamuddin Chowdhury said.
