BFF to nurture SAFF U-16 champions for next four years

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club hosted a reception yesterday to their football team for retaining the Bangladesh Premier League title Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited for second successive years. On the occasion the club also accorded a reception to Bangladesh Under-16 team for emerging unbeaten champions in the SAFF U-16 Tournament .
Held at the club’s Dhanmondi ground, the reception was presided over by the Sheikh Jamal president Manzur Kader with BFF president Kazi Salahuddin attending the function as chief guest.
Manzur Kader while talking to media said that he was expecting to lift the hat-trick crown of the Professional Football League next season.
Kader said, “It would be a big achievement if we will be able to celebrate the hat-trick championship. I think all the players are also expecting so to celebrate the hat-trick championship, a rare
accomplishment for a club and a player.”
“I believe that the players, who have been playing in our team, will not leave, because we take care of these players very sincerely and the way
we entertain them, they
are happy.”
Kader also handed over crest to the Under-16 players and the officials and said I expected that Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will take care of the boys (Under-16) for long time under their responsibilities.”
Meanwhile, Kazi Mohammed Salahuddin while replying to queries told the reporters said that BFF will have an agreement with the Under-16 players and also with their parents that they will be under the BFF custody for next four years.
“The players will now play the AFC Under-16 competition and then will go back to Academy. We have a coaching staff in the academy, hopefully a full foreign coaching staff will come very soon.”
“These players will be my boys, BFF will take all the responsibilities of these boys for next four years.”
“I can assure you that the academy will be run successfully and once it will be one of the finest academies in Asia,” said Salahuddin.
