Foreign war veterans accorded reception
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar accorded reception to war veterans of Indian and Russian Armed Forces who participated in Bangladesh liberation war in 1971.The war veterans accorded reception included 40 Indian and Russian Armed Forces members at BAF Falcon hall in the capital yesterday.
The Indian team is led by Lt General (Retd) Jai Bhagwan Singh Yadava and Russian team is led by Captain (Retd) Stanislav Gorbachev, says an ISPR press release. Bangladesh Air Chief remembered the contribution of Indian and Russian Armed Forces during Bangladesh liberation war in 1971 with gratitude. During the reception Bangladesh Air Chief exchanged mementos with the war veterans. Defence Attaches of India and Russia in Dhaka and senior BAF officers were present on the occasion.
