Border Guard Bangladesh will face Bangladesh Ansar in the men’s final of Khokon-Udayan Victory Day Handball Tournament after winning their respective semifinals at the Shaheed M Monsur Ali Handball Stadium in the capital yesterday.
BGB had to fight hard to down Bangladesh Police 27-22 after leading the first half 15-11 in the first semifinal. On the other hand, Bangladesh Ansar outplayed Quantum 42-25 in the second semifinal. The winners led the first half 18-15.
Bangladesh Police and BJMC SC booked final berths in the women’s division. Police trounced Handball Training Centre 21-8 and BJMC outclassed Ansar by 32-15 in the two semifinals also played on the day.
The two finals will be played today with the women’s final at 1.30pm and the men’s final at 3pm.
