The 4th sub-regional workshop on Community Resilience to Climate Change in the Bay of Bengal Conference-2017, will be held at Spectra Convention centre in Gulshan in the capital on December 17, reports UNB.
The speakers of Bangladesh Unnayan Parishad and Concern Worldwide in press conference at Jatiya Press Club yesterday morning said the two-day workshop will emphasize on finding a way to deal with the risks of climate change collectively. The specialists from Sri Lanka, Nepal and India will participate in the workshop to be inaugurated by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Md Fazle Rabbi Miah.
Eight sessions - Climate change impact on water resources, Climate change impact on coastal agriculture, Climate induced displacement and rehabilitation, Technologies for sustainable adaptation, Urban risk reduction and climate change resilience, Livelihood and natural resources management , Gender inequalities in CCA will be discussed in the workshop.
Workshop's chairman and Bangladesh climate change negotiation team coordinator Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad and Concern Worldwide's country director AKM Musa, Bangladesh Unnayan Parishad chairman MA Jalil, its vice chairman Dr Rezaul Karim were present there.
