One passenger allowed to bring 8 mobile hand sets from abroad

A passenger will be allowed to bring eight mobile hand sets with a boarding pass or relevant travel document, according to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). BTRC issued a circular in this regard on December 12 and the new directive will be in effect from January 1 next year. Out of the 8 hand sets, only two will be duty free and the rest will be taxable. If any person wants to bring more than eight sets then he or she will have to have Vendor Enlistment Certificate from BTRC.
