The government will introduce electronic passport (e-passport) and electronic gate (e-gate) at international airports, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan told the launching ceremony of the national call centre for emergency services, reports BSS .
Prime Minister’s Infor-mation and Communication Technology Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy launched the call centre for toll-free national emergency helpline - 999, installed at the Crime Command and Control Centre of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in city’s Abdul Gani Road.
Addressing the launching ceremony of the call centre at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital, the home minister said that the e-passport and e-gate would be introduced in line with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s vision for Digital Bangladesh.
