Child killed in road accident

A child died and 10 others were injured as a passenger bus collided head on with a truck in Tetulia Upazila of the district yesterday.

The child was identified as Limon, 3, son of one Belal Hossein at Khutagoj village of the upazila.

Eye witness and Fire Service sources said the accident took place at about 9:30 am in Mondolpara area. Limon died on the spot.

On information, Tetulia Thana police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body and took the injured people to Tetulia and Panchagarh Sadar Hospital.

Soresh Chandra, the Officer-in-Charge of Tetulia police station confirmed the incident.
