Woman hacked to death in Jamalpur

A man hacked a housewife to death over family feud in Jamalpur sadar upazila of the district on Monday evening.

The deceased was Anwara Begum, 45, wife of Motiur Rahman of Zigatola village in the upazila.

According to police sources, Alamgir Hossain, son of late Suruj Ali, was a neighbour of Anwara. On Monday evening over a family feud Alamgir hacked Anwara with a sharp weapon leaving her dead on the spot.

 Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police arrested Alamgir early yesterday. Deceased’s husband filed a case with Jamalpur police station in this connection.
