NRB Commercial Bank Limited has reshuffled its board of directors at an emergency board meeting which took place on Sunday, the bank said in a press statement yesterday.
In order to improve the image and accelerate the progress of the bank, the chairman Engr Farasath Ali resigned from his position and subsequently.
The board elected Tamal SM Parvez as the new chairman and Mohammad Shahid Islam as the new vice chairman of the board of directors of the bank.
Moreover, the board reconstituted the existing committees of the board by appointing Abu Bakr Chowdhury as the chairman of the Executive Committee, Rafikul Islam Mia Arzoo as the chairman of Audit Committee, and Mohammed Adnan Imam as the chairman of Risk Management Committee, said the statement added.
The board also sanctioned leave of 3 months to the managing director and CEO Dewan Mujibur Rahman. The board also handed over current charge of Managing Director to Kazi Md Talha, the statement added.
