Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in separate raids arrested three operatives of the banned ‘militant’ outfit Ansar al-Islam from Dhaka and Narayanganj districts on Sunday night, reports BSS. "We in separate raids, arrested KM Faisal, 30, Shamim Ahmed, 27, and Habibur Rahman, 27, from Jatrabari Thana area in Dhaka and Fatullah thana area in Narayanganj on Sunday night for their link to Ansar al-Islam," assistant police super (media) of the RAB-10 Ashrafi Tanjina told the news agency yesterday.
RAB personnel also seized 16 fanatic books, and eight sets of training manuals from their possession, he added. The arrestees have been shown arrested in a case filed under Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009, with Dhaka Railway Police Station.
