Couple killed in road crash in Savar

Savar: A couple was killed in a road accident on Tongi-Ashulia-Export Processing Zone (EPZ) road in Jamgora area of Ashulia early Thursday, reports UNB.  The deceased were identified as Solaiman and his wife Nurjahan, garment workers of Setara Group in Jamgora area.

Officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station Abul Awal said the accident took place at late night when a speeding bus ran over the duo in the area while they were crossing the road, leaving Nurjahan dead on the spot and her husband injured.  

The injured was taken to nearby Women and Child Health Centre where doctors declared him dead.
