‘BCL attack’ at Instt of Health Technology

Probe body formed; BCL committee dissolved

Rajshahi: The authorities of the Institute of Health Technology (IHT)  Rajshahi yesterday formed a three-member probe committee over the attack on the students allegedly by some Chhatra League activists that left five female students injured, reports UNB.

Doctor Sirajul Islam, principal of the institute, said the committee headed by Associate Professor Dr Anwarul Islam, has been asked to submit the report as soon as possible.

The two other members of the committee are- assistant professors Dr Nurul Huda and Dr Selim Khan.

Besides, the BCL committee of the institute has been dissolved over the incident, said Roky Kumar Gosh, president of Rajshahi City Chhatra League on Wednesday night.

The BCL central committee also suspended president Jahidul Islam Jahid and general secretary Anwar Hossain Tuhin of the IHT BCL unit. The IHT authorities said that the institute will remain closed until the situation becomes normal.
