Click badminton tournament begins Saturday

A badminton tournament titled ‘Click Racket Wreckage’ will kick off on Saturday. More than 40 universities and corporate organisations will participate in the seven-day long badminton tournament to be held at Banani field in the capital.

State minister for Youth and Sports Biren Shikder will inaugurate the tournament. The organizers briefed the media about the tournament at a press conference held at Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium yesterday.

Addressing the press conference, Salauddin Al Hossain, Brand Manager of Click said, ‘Generally badminton tournament has been arranged regularly with the professional players. But it is rare to arrange any tournament for amateur players.

 Rajib Ibn Islam, general manager (operation) of PRAN Dairy, Raquibul Hasan, Brand manager of Duranta Bicycle, Mohammad Yousuf, Deputy General Manager of XPEDEV, Tareq Mahmud, member of Bangladesh Badminton Federation, among others were also present at the programme.
