An evening of classical guitar at AFD on Saturday

An instrumental ensemble, titled ‘Flaming Acoustics’ directed by Iftekhar Anwar, will be held on December 9 at 5:30pm at the Auditorium Nouvelle Vague, Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD) in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.

The ensemble will perform exclusive renderings of Western classical music, which include pieces by venerable composers like Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Antonín Dvorák, Niccolò Paganini, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Joaquin Rodrigo and Astor Piazzola. The performance will feature classical guitar, flute and violin. The concert will last for an hour and the pieces will comprise solo, duets and trios.
