Ctg Abahani share four goals evenly with Russel

League leaders Chittagong Abahani Limited dropped valuable points in the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League after a 2-2 draw with Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Monaem Khan Raju led Russel early in the sixth minute, Lionel levelled for Chittagong Abahani three minutes later, Jahid made the tally 2-1 for Ctg Abahani and Fancoise Jaques squared the margin two minutes before the final whistle for Russel to snatch a point.         

Russel surviving from the initial assault came out three minutes later to make a strong counter with taking the lead through Monaem Khan Raju (1-0).

Trailing by a goal Chittagong had to wait for a long 40 minutes when Lionel Saint scored a beautiful goal to go for break with 1-1 all draw.

Both the sides began the second half afresh and Chittagong outfit took the lead through Jahid, when the national forward was left free inside the area had no trouble to take a diving header on an Abdullah cross on 83rd minute (2-1).

But the lead was not lasted a long, as Fancoise Jaques made a super finish of an Uttyam back header on 88th minute (2-2).
