World's first robot citizen with artificial intelligence, Sophia, arrived in the capital yesterday to attend the country's digital fair-- Digital World-2017, reports UNB. Public Relations Officer of the ICT Division Abu Naser told UNB that a Dragon Airlines flight carrying Sophia from Hong Kong landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4am. Sophia will be ready to attend the fair on Wednesday after her body parts are installed that were kept in boxes.
There will be two sessions on Wednesday for Sophia. In the first session, the robot will have a meeting with the country's policymakers and journalists. In the second session, there will be a discussion with young game, software and app developers and innovators. Dr David Hanson will also present the keynote paper on artificial intelligence.
