Detectives arrested a fake DB police from Moghbazar crossing in the capital on Thursday night, reports UNB. The arrestee was identified as Md Raisul Islam Hemo alias Himel. The detectives also recovered police handcuff, DB jacket, one toy pistol and a walkie-talkie set from his possession. Sources at the DB headquarters said tipped off a team of Serious Crime Investigation Division of DB conducted a drive in Moghbazar crossing area and arrested Himel at around 8:30 pm. During preliminary interrogation, Himel reportedly revealed that he along with 5 to 6 associates used to take money forcibly introducing them as DB team in different areas in the capital. Besides, they had also been involved in robbery, extortion and hijacking, said Md Nazul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Organised Crime Prevention team) of DB.
