138 drug users, peddlers surrender in Barisal

A total of 138 drugs peddlers and users have been surrendered to DIPB Baisal yesterday noon on Barisal Police Lines premises of the city.
Barrisal district police organised a program on the occasion with Md Syful Islam, police super, Barisal in the chair. DIG of Barisal police range Md Shafikul Islam attended the programme as the chief guest.
Surrendered drugs traders and users took an oath for not taking drugs and any type of drugs business.
A discussion also was held in this regards at the same place. DC Barisal Md Habibur Rahman, Mohiuddin Manik Bir Protik, journalist SM Iqbal were present, among others.
Addressing the program DIG of Barisal police range said this is the last chance for traders and users of drugs. If anyone tries to connect with drugs in future here he will be strongly punished.
Cash money, rickshaws, van and sewing machine later distributed among the surrendered drugs traders and users.
