Dhaka University has unveiled a monument consisting names of all of its students, employees and teachers along
with their family
members, who embraced martyrdom during the nine months of Liberation War in 1971.
Dhaka University vice-chancellor Professor Akhtaruzzaman on Tuesday also inaugurated the beautification of arts faculty premises on the campus which have already completed with the help of ACI group.
The programme was held in front of the Arts Building on the Dhaka University campus at 4:00pm.
The monument, now open to public, will showcase the record of 194 professors, officials, staff and other civilians who were killed inside the Dhaka University during 1971.
Among others, business faculty dean of Dhaka University Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, arts faculty dean Abu Mohammad Delwar Hossain and ACI limited chairman M Anis Ud Dowla were present.
