Progotishil Chhatra Jote organised a press conference at Modhu’s canteen on the university campus yesterday demanding DUCU election.
In the briefing the Jote leaders said DUCSU is a mini parliament and the authorities are not giving the poll since 27 years intentionally.
The also said a student is on hunger strike and 4 days already has been passed but the university yet to pay any heed about it.
They also said that this kind of courageous decision of Walid Ashraf (who went on strike) will give inspiration to general students for DUCSU poll.
Tuhin Kanti Das, president of Bangladesh Student Union read the written statement on the press briefing.
He said “The High Court has given order to the university to make the senate complete by giving DUCSU poll and in 1973 ordinance it has been declared that five students representatives will be included in senate but the authority concerned yet to take any step.
The Jote also bring out a protest procession on the premises of Raju Sculpture on Friday at 3:30 pm covering their faces with black masks.
