A three-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the allegation of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain’s involvement in buying a piece of land from a minority family in Faridpur, reports UNB. Acting deputy commissioner of Faridpur Md Abdur Rashid said a three-member probe committee, headed by additional deputy commissioner Kamruzzaman Selim, was formed to investigate the statement of Rana Das Gupta, secretary general of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, alleging that the minister was involved in the buying of the minority property. The committee was asked to submit its report in five days. The other two members of the committee are additional superintend of police Md Kamruzzaman and surveyor of upazila land office Kholilur Rahman.
