Max Group bridge begins

Max Group Bridge Tournament started yesterday at the Engineers Recreation Centre in the city. Team event matches were held on the opening day. A total of 46 teams including ten from outside Dhaka are taking part in the team event.
Minister for Science and Technology Yeafesh inaugurated the tournament organised by Bangladesh Bridge Federation as chief guest. Eminent columnist Anisul Haque was present as special guest along with BBF president Mushfiqur Rahman Mohon and Max Group chairman Ghulam M Alomgir. Max Group has been sponsoring the meet at a cost of Taka 7.50 lakh. The team champions will receive Tk 80,000 as prize money, while runners-up will get Tk 40,000.
