Mustafizur Rahman, pace spearhead of Bangladesh, was declared complete fit for the competitive game by his BPL team physio, just two days after the nod of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief physician. Rajshahi Kings physio Baijadul Islam was tapping Mustafiz ankle before doing their practice at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS), in where the pacer bowled in full intensity along with running and fielding with the teammates yesterday.
One day before their first match against Comilla Victorians at Chittagong phase, the left-handed paceman bowled five overs at full speed at the nets on the practice surface of the ZACS.
“We are taking care Mustafiz just after his return from South Africa. We kept him with Rajshahi Kings since November 8. We’ve meanwhile completed his rehabilitation process,” said Baijadul Islam after the practice session.
“The pacer bowled in full intensity in four sessions including today’s practice without any complaint. Today he also took part in the full practice session, wherein he did running along with fielding. So far Mustafiz has no complain about his injury. Let’s see what the team management does. Actually, they will decide the rest of Mustafiz’s participation in BPL game,” Baijadul told media.
“As physio’s point of view, I am confident of his fitness. We have supported him what is needed for him. Even he crossed all the tests what we gave him. And, he has no complaint physically. We understood that he is fully fit for the games,” he added.
