Ctg, Sylhet face must win situation to stay in race

Chittagong Vikings and Sylhet Sixers will face a must win situation when they play in the second match of BPL-5 today at the Zahur Ahmed Chodhury Stadium (ZACS). The match, will be a night-affair, will start at 7:00pm today. On points table, Sylhet Sixers placed fourth with seven points off eight matches and Chittagong Vikings are at the rock-bottom with three off six matches.
Both teams held their pre-match day practice session with the participation of the local and foreign players at the venue ground.
The team officials of both the teams indicated that they will play all-out game to bring the result in favour of them so they could live up their expectation to go into the BPL next round.
“Actually, T20 is always like this. We had passed a good day in Sylhet-leg. We did not win any match of the four matches after winning three matches. I think, injury was a big reason. Winning flow heavily dented by players’ injuries. Therefore, we didn’t come back,” said Sylhet Sixers chief advisor Faruque Ahmed.
“The last two matches we really played well. We lost the last match having in winning situation. We have four more games ahead of us and try to win the matches,” Faruque told newsmen. “ Sylhet was supposed to win the match against Rajshahi Kings because Kings had injury in the squad than us,” he added.
