Businessman stabbed to death

CHITTAGONG: A businessman was stabbed to death allegedly by his  rival in Hatkhola area under Bakalia thana in the city Wednesday night. The victim was Aftab Ahmed, 35, hailed from Bakalia thana in  the port city. Police said Saifur Rahman, son of late  Saydur Rahman, stabbed Aftab  indiscriminately last night following an altercation, when the victim went to Saifur's house to see the body of his father. The altercation ensued regarding a work of land development in Chittagong Medical College area. Immediately after the incident, locals rushed Aftab to Chittagong Medical College  Hospital (CMCH), where the attending doctors declared him dead. A case was filed with Panchliash thana in this connection.
