Salema Khatun

Alhaj Salema Khatun, mother of UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan, died yesterday morning due to old age complication at her residence of Kazir Dewri in Chittagong, says a press release.
She was 93. She left behind four sons, three daughters and a host of well-wishers to mourn her death.
She will be buried at her family graveyard in Chittagong.
Members, Secretary, divisional heads and all officials of UGC have expressed profound shocked at the death of the mother of Professor Abdul Mannan.
They prayed for salvation and peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
