Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company limited Gazipur regional office cut off 850 illegal gas lines of 650 houses in Bhobanipur area of Gazipur on Tuesday.
The Titas gas authorities disconnected those lines in a raid conducted on Tuesday at 4 points of the area led by executive magistrate of Gazipur Farzana Nasreen.
Manager of Gazipur Titas office engineer Mohammed Shahabuddin said, a team of Titas gas unearthed about 200 meters of pipe line of 2 inches, 1.5 inches and one inch diameter pipes that were used for the illegal connection in different houses at the areas. As a result , 850 illegal lines were disconnected from the houses.
