Probe report submission deferred for 25th time

The submission of the investigation report of blogger Niladri Chattopadhyay Niloy murder case was deferred for the 25th time to December 14, reports

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque passed the order as the investigation officer of the case Mahbub Rahman of the Detective Branch failed to submit the probe report yesterday morning.

Earlier on August 7, 2015, blogger Niloy was hacked to death by a group of assailants at his rented flat on the 4th floor of a multi-storey building at Goran in the capital.

However, several hours into the incident, Ansar-Al-Islam, the Bangladesh chapter of al-Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent, claimed the responsibility for the murder through e-mail.
