Members of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) yesterday seized more than 100 illegal iPhone from Bashundhara Shopping Complex and Molly Capita Centre in the capital. The iPhone sets were seized for dodging all duties and taxes, said in a press release issued by CIID yesterday. A team led by CIID Assistant Directors Shaiduzzaman Sarkar and HM Shariful Hasan they started drive with the help of law members at two shopping malls from 12.00pm. He told reporters that the government has been losing huge amount of duty due to sell of these unauthorised mobile sets, mostly entered the country through personal baggage.
