The national road safety strategic action plan has been approved, aiming to reduce road accidents in the country to 50 per cent by next 2020, reports UNB.
The action plan got the approval in the 25th meeting of National Road Safety Council (NRSC) presided over by Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader in a city on Sunday. Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan, state minister of Local Government and Rural Development Moshiur Rahman Ranga and chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Road Transport and Bridges Ekabbar Hossain MP were present at the meeting.
