Stalker jailed

KHULNA: A court here yesterday landed alleged stalker Inzamam Mirza in jail after rejecting his bail prayer in connection with a case filed over the suicide of a college student at Dacope upazila in Khulna.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Maruf Ahmed cancelled the bail prayer upon the surrender of Inzamam before the court, said Officer-in-Charge of Khulna Kotwali police station Mizanur Rahman. On November 5, Joyee, a student of LBK Women College, killed herself after being stalked and beat by Inzamam. Later, victim's father filed a case with Dacope police station in this connection.
