Locals confined two armed members of Border Security Force (BSF) at Shuvanagar village in South Sadar upazila yesterday morning. The BSF members were identified as Robiul and Mukesh of BSF battalion-145, reports UNB.
Local union parishad Chairman Johirul Islam said the two BSF members entered Bangladesh territory in the morning while giving a chase to an Indian citizen, named Monir, in the area. After their illegal entry, a BSF member beat Mostafa, a resident of Shuvanagar village, with his arms. Infuriated by the incident, the locals confined the two BSF members and handed them over to the members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at its Bouwara border checkpost under BGB battalion-10 in Comilla.
