Chittagong Vikings fast bowler Taskin Ahmed said that he is still on course of learning process and tries to learn from his mistakes what he did his past games.

Citing the performance in South Africa, where Bangladesh lost all the matches across the formats, Taskin said that he tries to execute what he can’t do in the last tour in South Africa.

“The six matches I played in South Africa I did not perform as per my expectation. Even I didn’t play the first match. So, I had expectation in my mind that I have an urgency to do well,” said Taskin, who took three wickets for 31.

“Honestly, I was morally down from the first match. But yesterday’s night and today’s morning I thought much and recalled my best performance in past occasions. I didn’t drop my hopes to fare well. I bowled many overs at practice session,” Taskin told reporters.

“Overall, I have tried to play well. Hopefully I could make a very good comeback,” he added.

The 22-year-old pace bowler said that he has attempted to puzzle batsmen with his shrewd and sheer variations.

“I have tried to bowl with the mixed-up and variation of slower, bouncer and yorker. If I would bowl three balls in the same variation, it will then be hit for boundary,” he said. “The first of the two balls I made bouncers. So the third ball I tried to bowl Yorker. It has been perfect,” he also said.

“Honestly, I tried it in South Africa tour. I gradually gather experience and learns from mistakes. I told that I could not learn so many thinks yet. To be a proper bowler, I got to learn 50 percent out of 100 percent. I’ll work for the rest of the fifty percent,” he added. He said that he takes suggestion from senior players to complete his perfection in bowling performance.

“I try to talk with the senior players the likes of Mashrafe bhai, Rubel bhai. Even other senior players also help me. Pray for me so that I could do well ahead,” he said.

Citing the names of Bijoy, Soumya and Misbah, the paceman said that fellow teammates suggest me to do Yorker to complete his hat-trick.

“Bijoy was my under-19 captain. We have Soumya and Misbah bhai in the team. Actually all suggested me to bowl Yorker. I’ve done it,” he informed.

He also said that he didn’t feel any regret to not complete his credible first hat-trick in the BPL.

“I didn’t feel any regret of not completing hat-trick,” he said, adding: “It’s biggest thing that I could help behind the team’s victory. Always I expect I could help the team’s success. I got three wickets that helped the team‘s victory.”
