Land of Bangabandhu killer confiscated in Bhola

The government yesterday confiscated 4.49 acres of land in Borhanduddin upazila, owned by Captain (retd.) Adbul Mazed, one of the six self-confessed fugitive killers of Bangbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A team led by Burhanuddin upazila AC (land) Monwar Hossain seized a total of 1 acre 35 decimal land on Hospital Road of the upazila headquarters, and put up a signboard on behalf of government. Besides, the team also took in its possession another piece of land measuring 3.16 acres at Kuralia in Boro Manika union, the village home of Mazed. Officer-in-Charge of Borhanuddin police station Ratan Krishna Roy confirmed the news. While contacted Deputy Commissioner of Bhola Selim Reza said the government took over the land following a High Court order.
