Members of detective branch of police have rescued a six-year-old boy on Saturday night who was abducted from Police Plaza in city’s Gulshan area, reports UNB.
The law enforcers also arrested three kidnappers, said deputy commissioner (media) of DMP Masudur Rahman yesterday morning. Earlier, miscreants kidnapped the toddler from Police Plaza near Gulshan when his parents were busy at a shop there.
A joint team of the DB arrested Rubel Rana while he along with two other went to Rangs Bhaban area under Tejgaon Industrial Police Station to collect money as ransom on Saturday, an official release said.
The criminals also fired gunshots at them and two of the criminals, Shipon Shaikh and Sagor, managed to flee the scene, it also said, adding that they later arrested the duo and rescued the six-year-old child Tawshifur Rahim from Kunipara area of Hatirjheel following information extracted from Rubel, it also said.
