In a bid to mitigate the sufferings of the spectators and dew factor alongside giving more times to curators for preparing the wickets so quick, BPL governing council decided to reshuffle the timings of the BPL matches for the Dhaka phase.
As per the schedule of the new timings, the first match will be held at 1:30pm and the second match at 6pm in Dhaka.
IH Mallick, member secretary of the BPL governing council, made the revelation of the new timings while he came by the press box of the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet yesterday.
“Already we have taken a decision that the timings of the first game at the Dhaka phase has been brought half-an-hour ahead. Reducing the gap of times between the two matches, we have decided to hold the next match from 6pm,” said IH Mallick.
“There are three more reasons behind such decision. Firstly, the spectators have to suffer much to return their homes at night due to the lack of vehicles after the end of the match. Secondly, there is dew factor and thirdly, to give more time for our curator to prepare the wicket for the matches as games at BPL are being held almost daily,” Mallick told media.
