2 arrested with 4 gold bars

Satkhira: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two people along with four gold bars at Bhomra border area in sadar

upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.

The arrestees were identified as Rokeya Khatun, 33, daughter of Afsar Ali of Laxidari village in Sadar Upazila and Abdul Mannan, 27, hailing from Laxmipur district.

Tipped off, BGB members arrested the duo from the border area and recovered the gold bars from their possession when they were smuggling those to India, said Subedar Nurul Haque of BGB Bhomra camp.
