All-rounder Al Amin Junior wants to sparkle in the forthcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)what he did not do in his last two occasions. The diminutive all-rounder made his BPL debut for Rangpur Riders in the 2014-2015 season. Thereafter he changed his tent in the 2015-2016 season and joined the then defending champions, Camilla Victorians, whose voyage was not so smooth. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza led Victorians derailed from the group phase.

This time Al Amin joined a new team of Chittagong Vikings, who formed their team with the blend of a string of youngsters. Even though the team did not keep their old campaigner Tamim Iqbal they are hopeful of doing better result.

He stepped into High Performance (HP) squad, under which he toured in England. Therefore, he called for A team against Ireland A team. He gradually built up his career and boosted his confidence what is pre-requisite for playing at big stage.

He is ready to play the BPL and he seeks to do what can't play in the earlier period.

“Every team in BPL has been formed a well-balanced team. There is no way to underestimate any team,” said Al Amin.

“Twenty20 is such a format of game, in where the momentum could be rolled back within few balls. Any team could win match on their day,” Al Amin Junior told media.

He said that the young players they have in their contingent if they could deliver their better performance the result could then be well.

"We have Soumya Sarkar, Sunzamul Islam, Al-Amin, Alauddin Babu, Tanbir Hayder, Irfan Sukkur, Naeem Hasan and Yasir Arafat in the squad. All are young. If we could give our hundred percent, the result will since be obviously well,” the spinner-turned-batsman viewed.

When asked about the late start of Vikings BPL campaign, Al Amin said that they had A team games and others were engaged in national duty.

“Though we waged a late start, every player was in games. So, there is no problem for this. We were in matches. That's the main thing,” he said.

Luke Ronchi and Dilshan Manweera joined the team after arriving in Dhaka. The duo will be followed by Luis Reece, Liam Dawson,  Misbah-ul-Haq, Jermaine Blackwood, Sikandar Raza, Jeevan Mendis and Najibullah Zadran before flying for Sylhet on November 5.

The team is yet to announce their captain. They  will soon declare. It is learnt that Pakistan former captain Misbah-ul-Haq could be made captain for Vikings.
