BKMEA wins South Asian Business Excellence Award

Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) won South Asian Business Excellence Award-2017 for ensuring work place safety and health awareness in knitwear industry, reports BSS.

World Human Resource Development Congress (WHRDC) and Asian Confederation of Business (ACB) jointly gave the award at a ceremony on Sunday in a city hotel. Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi was present as chief guest, said a release yesterday.

BKMEA First Vice President Monsur Ahmed received the award from the chief guest.

BKEMA in 2016 established OSH unit that has able to form safety committee in 40 factories to ensure occupational health and safety for labourers.
